Right in the midst of your hope, and the emerging light around you, the room goes dark again! It's seems like right in the midst of you clinching unto to your hopes, and dreams and seeing a glimpse of them manifesting, something comes around and knocks your faith down to the ground. But don't grow weary! God always has plan!
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. -2Thessalonians 3:13
As I sit a think on the lives events that have taken place over the last month with the loss of two of my grandparents, it has put much about life in perspective for me. I had stood up against my share of battles this year. With God by my side, holding up his shield I was able to fight through them. But this one was one that no one is ever prepared for. One that I had never experienced before. Losing a loved one is never easy, and the process of grief I'm learning is one that should be protected, and shielded by the word of God. You have to fight through the darts of weariness to see God's positive progression throughout it. I have found that if you don't literally lift your spirit up. You will find yourself in the midst of a depressive state, and in a spirt of defeat. But wherever, whomever, and whatever DO NOT GROW WEARY! Weariness kills the spirit! If you allow weariness to settle in it will cause you to deny the very purpose you set out to conquer. The word weary is defined as to be utterly spiritless, to be wearied our, exhausted. When I find myself in moments of despair, and questioning my own next steps I'm reminded of the consistent pursuit of many in the bible who continued to pursue God's purpose for their lives even while being surrounded by their circumstances. If you are chasing God's purpose for your life what are you allowing to halt your progression? The answer should be nothing. Nothing should stop you from participating in the pursuit to have what God has for you. It is time to began to speak our way out of the dark places that we find ourselves in. Open up your mouth and fight. The belief of defeat can't exist in a mind alone filled with the word, not to mention when you open up your mouth and begin to speak the word of God over your life, and your circumstances. You have to COME UP OUT OF THE DARK PLACES! Romans 15:13 says, " Our hope comes from God. May He fill you with joy and peace because of your trust in Him. May your hope grow stronger by the power of the Holy Spirit." Activate the power, will you have moments that you will need to be reminded of this notion again! Yes! But it's all about the consistent pursuit that no matter what you encounter in life, you continually trust in God!! Keep moving forward. The best is yet to come. Until next time.....
